![]() HINSDALE - Home Helpers Home Care of Hinsdale is pleased to announce the addition of Brookfield resident Jackie Raschke, certified dementia practitioner, to its staff of aging-care professionals. As Director of Education and Memory Care Services, Raschke will share her knowledge and years of hands-on experience with Home Helpers caregivers, their clients, and family caregivers throughout the community. A dementia care expert certified by the National Council of Certified Dementia Practitioners, Raschke holds a degree in sociology and gerontology from Northern Illinois University and has managed memory care programs at assisted living communities and nursing homes throughout the area. She has 20 years of experience working with older adults, their families, and those who care for them. In her new role, Raschke is directly involved in the hiring and training Home Helpers caregivers, as well as developing individualized care plans for clients with dementia. She plans to launch an updated training program that will empower Home Helpers caregivers, as well as clients’ families, with important skills related to dementia care, and Home Helpers looks forward to extending this new program to family caregivers throughout the community. In addition, Home Helpers plans to offer an Alzheimer’s support group under Raschke’s leadership. Raschke also provides hands-on support to Home Helpers caregivers as they provide care in clients’ homes. As caregivers and families take on the ever-changing challenges of dementia care, Home Helpers now has a dementia care expert there to help. “Jackie is a valuable addition to our staff.
