Thanks, Steve and Trish   Just replaced a Egress (escape) window in a basement in Darien. . This egress window was completely rusted shut and I couldn't even pry it open with a crow bar. It had metal grids in the glass making it impossible to break to escape. A new vinyl 2 lite slider cost $485.00 installed, to replace existing egress windows that comes with a screen so you can use all year around for fresh air. Please check that everyone knows how to open and escape in case of an emergency, if it is to high above the floor make sure you keep a step stool or box so everyone can be safe.
