Sciatica usually originates in the Lumbar spine and associated with injury, disc herniation’s, spinal or neuro-foraminal stenosis causing nerve impingement. The nerve impingement can cause burning/electric radiating type pain from the lower back, through the buttock, and extending through the back of the leg, the Sciatic Nerve. Other causes of Sciatica could be degenerative disc disease, spondylolisthesis, poor posture, and repetitive activities.
