 NOTE: Health Insurance open enrollment continues until 3-31-14. You can apply for a new health care plan by the 15th of the month before an effective date of 2-1-14, 3-1-14 or 4-1-14. After 3-31-14, you may be subject to a penalty for not having coverage unless you have a qualifying event…like losing health coverage from an employer. With a qualifying event, you can apply for exchange coverage throughout the year as an event occurs. After 3-31-14, the next open enrollment is scheduled from 11-15-14 to 1-15-15.
