![]() Aging Care Connections is pleased to announce the appointment of Michael Doepke, owner of Home Helpers of Hinsdale, as president of its board of directors. The former board vice president and longtime board member stepped into his new role Oct. 1 and will remain as leader of the 11-member board for a minimum of three years. As president, Doepke will lead regular board meetings and meet weekly with Aging Care Connections Executive Director Debra Verschelde to remain on top of all that is happening with the organization. Doepke also will oversee the executive director position. “It’s the president’s responsibility to primarily evaluate the executive director,” Verschelde said. Doepke said he is honored to be nominated and approved by his fellow board members, and he looks forward to supporting the vital role that Aging Care Connections plays in the lives of the community’s aging population. Aging Care Connections provides a variety of services to seniors in Lyons, Riverside, Proviso, Norwood Park and Leyden townships. As owner of Home Helpers of Hinsdale for the last 10 years, Doepke knows the needs of the area’s aging population. “Like Aging Care Connections, Home Helpers is dedicated to making life easier for seniors and their families,” Doepke said. “I look forward to supporting this organization, and its work, in this new role.” Verschelde is confident that Doepke will continue to be an asset to Aging Care Connections as board president. “He’s a good businessman with a real concern and compassion for the aging population,” Verschelde said of Doepke. “He understands our work well.” Home Helpers 123 East Ogden Avenue, Suite 102A Hinsdale, IL 60521 Phone: 630-323-7231 Email: HomeHelpers1@comcast.net
