Plantar Fasciitis is the inflammation of the plantar fascia, which is the fibrous tissue on the bottom of the foot connecting the heel bone to the toes. Plantar Fasciitis can and does cause severe heel and foot pain. Plantar Fasciitis is commonly associated with severe heel pain with the initiation of walking after rising from bed or a seated position. Individuals with Plantar Fasciitis classically have to walk on their toes for the first several steps to avoid pressure to the heel. Once activity has begun the pain usually is reduced. Plantar Fasciitis can be caused by trauma, athletic activities, repetitive activities and also poor foot biomechanics: such as foot pronation or flat feet. Dr. Glen Batson, of Batson Chiropractic of Willowbook, successfully treats Plantar Fasciitis by using Chiropractic Manual Manipulation of the foot and ankle joints, K-Laser Therapy, and Foot Levelers custom foot orthotic devices. The foot and ankle consists of 26 separate bones, encompassing 33 joints with many muscles, tendons, and ligaments allowing proper bio-mechanical function and support. Dr. Batson can perform an examination to evaluation the function and integrity of these bones, joints, and soft tissue structures. Dr. Batson can perform manipulation of these bones to restore proper joint function and biomechanical integrity. K-Laser Therapy is a Class IV Laser Therapy utilizing red and near-infrared wavelengths of light energy to induce a photochemical and therapeutic effect, Photo-Biomodulation, on the tissues of the heel and plantar fascia. This therapy conservatively and naturally reduces the inflammation of the plantar fascia and osseous structures of the foot and therefore reduces the pain. Dr. Batson utilizes custom orthotic foot appliances, shoe inserts, for support and proper function of the foot to reduce irritation of the plantar fascia. Dr. Batson can be reached for consultation at his Willowbrook Illinois office. Dr. Batson treats patients of many surrounding communities inlcuding Hinsdale, Darien, Oakbrook, Downers Grove, Westchester, Westmont, Willow Springs, Burr Ridge, Lemont, and Chicagoland regions. Dr. Batson can be reached at: Batson Chiropractic Clinic 630-323-1181 www.batsonchiropracic.com Dr. Batson, at Batson Chiropractic, is utilizing the K-Laser Cube 4, a state-of-the-art, Class IV therapeutic laser which delivers specific red and near-infrared wavelengths of light to induce a photochemical and therapeutic effect on tissues. Light energy passes through the skin into the cell membranes, initiating a process called Photobiomodulation. Physiological effects include increased circulation, reduction of inflammation, reduction of pain, reduction of swelling, and enhanced tissue healing. Laser Therapy has been utilized in Europe since the 1970s and received clearance by the United States Food and Drug Administration in 2005. Therapeutic Laser Effects: During each PAINLESS treatment session, laser energy applied to the specific body region increases circulation, drawing water, oxygen, and nutrients to the damaged area. This creates an optimal healing environment that reduces inflammation, swelling, muscle spasms, stiffness, and pain. As the injured area returns to normal, function is restored and pain is relieved. Benefits of K-Laser Class IV Laser Therapy is proven to bio-stimulate tissue repair and growth. The K-Laser accelerates the healing process by decreasing inflammation, pain, and scar tissue formation.
K-Laser is a DRUG FREE, SURGICAL FREE SOLUTION to your health needs. K-Laser is beneficial for both Acute and Chronic conditions and is NON-ADDICTIVE with virtually no side effects. K-Laser Therapy is painless, with the patient experiencing a soothing warmth or tingling sensation to the treatment region. Business Machine Agents, Inc 1413 Sherman Rd, Suite 100 Romeoville, IL 60446 Office 630.789.4711 Cell 847.571.5241 www.businessmachineagents.com It’s normal for your furnace to make some noise. For instance, a dull hum is to be expected. However, louder noises might spell trouble for your heating unit’s components. Remember to turn off your furnace if it makes any alarming sounds and leave the repair job to a professional.
To help you, our ComforTemp Heating & Air Conditioning team here in Lemont made a list of six common furnace noises, what might be causing the noises, and what to do if you hear them. 1. Loud Banging If you hear a loud banging noise, you should turn off your furnace right away. This might mean you have dirty burners that cause gas buildup in the ignition. A heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) technician should clean your burners once a year during a maintenance inspection. Another culprit could be your vents expanding and contracting due to temperature change. No matter the cause, you should have one of our professionals inspect the problem right away. Internal equipment knocking around could lead to a cracked heat exchanger, which is grounds for replacing your furnace as stated by the American Gas Association. 2. Screeching When your furnace is low on lubricant, this can produce a high-pitched screeching or squealing sound. The bearings and/or belts are squeaking and need to be oiled. It’s best to give one of our HVAC professionals a call, since you can’t lubricate your furnace sufficiently with common household oils. 3. Rhythmic Metallic Clanging If your ears detect a clanging or thud repeating in a rhythmic fashion, there’s probably something caught in the blower blades. If you hear this noise, power down your furnace and inspect the blades to see if a foreign object has made its way into there. If you can’t see anything, give us a call to help. 4. Metal Scraping When your blower fan comes loose, it scrapes against other metal components creating a shrill noise. In this case, you should turn off your furnace immediately to prevent further damage. If you catch it early on, the repair should be pretty simple and inexpensive. Leave it for too long, and the repair could be more serious. 5. Recurring Clicking Noise This sound might be harder to pick up on, so you should pay careful attention. It might mean you have a defective relay switch, which is the component sending electricity to the heating parts and motor. Another possibility is your flame might be having trouble staying lit. A misaligned or dirty thermocouple can prevent the flame from staying lit. Or a bad gas valve could be the culprit. Either way, call one of our professionals as soon as possible to keep your furnace and Illinois home in good condition. 6. Low-Pitched Growl This is another sound you may not notice. It’s the sound of extra combustion occurring, which could be caused by dirty gas burners or a misplaced pilot light. No matter the cause, this scenario requires a professional’s attention. We Are Your Furnace ExpertsIs your furnace making any of these noises? If so, call our ComforTemp Heating & Air Conditioning professionals at (630) 425-6943 or request service online for a repair inspection. Brian Orrick Comfort Specialist Cell 630.203.7805 WWW.MYCOMFORTEMP.COM An inter-vertebral disc is the cartilaginous material between adjacent spinal vertebrae (spinal bones) and acts as a shock absorbing cushion to facilitate proper biomechanical joint function and reduce friction. The disc also acts as a spacer between adjacent vertebrae to allow the spinal nerve roots to exit the spine and supply vital nerve energy to all aspects of the body.
A disc can herniate (bulge or rupture) due to injury, repetitive stress, posture and weight gain, aging, and/or a vertebral subluxation. A vertebral subluxation is the partial dislocation of one vertebrae in relation to another causing altered biomechanical joint function which can then cause altered stress to the disc and thus disc degeneration, disc bulge, herniation, or rupture.
