With this week having a holiday there is not a great deal economic data being released. Today we have October’s existing home sales as well as the National Association of Home Builders housing market index for this month.
Total existing home sales from October increased by 2.1% to an annual rate of 4.79 million sales. The NAHB reported a confidence boost for November which will be the seventh consecutive month of gains in builder confidence. They reported that there is an increasing demand for new homes as the inventory of for sale properties remains low.
Tomorrow’s data includes housing starts and building permits from October and on Wednesday we will get a report of the jobless claims as well as consumer sentiment. Thursday the markets will be closed for Thanksgiving with an early close on Friday.
